The A. S. Pushkin Kharkiv State Academic Theater of Russian Drama was created in 1933. Today it is one of the leading theatrical groups of Ukraine that has been consistently working on its repertoire and on its own artistic style.

At present, the theater that has often been a prize winner at various international theater festivals has over 20 plays in its repertoire.
