YSF 2015 Origins

Hosted by O. Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University on September 29 - October 2, 2015.

Still, YSF-2015 has grown from ideas and principles of YSC, and we don't want to lose that connection. That is why we haven't changed our website's address.

As of October, 2014, YSC has officially been in its current format for fourteen years. These have been 14 years with overall number of participants exceeding a value of 1000 and more than 120 incredible speakers from all over the world including USA, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany etc. We've had 7 career development workshops that were transformed last year into the KIT workshop, a mixture of science and technology. During these 14 years there have been lots of chats and new connections. All of this was pretty amazing experience.

In 2015, in order to support the Youth Scientific Movement in Ukraine, we are uniting with "Problems of Theoretical Physics" conference that has been held by the Young Scientists Council of the BITP NASU from 2009 to 2014 (http://confyoung.bitp.kiev.ua/). The topics of this conference cover all directions of present-day theoretical physics. About 100 of young people from Ukraine and other countries (Germany, Denmark, Belgium, France, Belorussia, Russia) participated each year in the conference.

For us 2015 is the year when 'pretty amazing' is not enough. It will be our year to mix and freshen things up! We are changing the venue to fantastic Dnipropetrovsk. Comparing to YSC, the scientific scope of YSF-2015 has been extremely widened. To make the Forum as fresh and relevant as YSCs have always been, we've already planned several satellite meetings and workshops, and are working on their details at the moment.

We're really excited to organize the first YSF-2015 and hope you'll all join us for the ride.

Stay tuned.
